Starting salary range (dependent on skills, experience and qualifications):
• 21 hours – from £25,694 to £28,102 per annum
• 28 hours – from £34,259 to £37,469 per annum

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Lecturer to join our friendly team on the DPsych Counselling Psychology programme at Regent’s University London.
The post holder will teach on and module lead academic modules on the DPsych, including the assessing and processing of coursework; will potentially act as a personal tutor; will serve as a Director of Studies and supervisor for counselling psychology doctoral research projects; and will act as internal examiner at viva voce examinations, as required.
The post holder will also collaborate with the Head of Programme and the team in potentially a variety of programme planning and administrative activities, and will attend Subject Examination Boards, Programme Committee Meetings, and other team or wider university meetings to support the delivery and quality of the programme. The days likely to be required on campus are Mondays, Tuesdays, and some Wednesday mornings.
Applicants must hold a doctoral degree in counselling psychology or a related field; have experience in examining and supervising doctoral research projects ideally in counselling psychology and ideally to completion; have knowledge of a variety of research methodologies; have experience of working as a counselling psychologist or psychotherapist, ideally in a variety of settings; and have relevant and substantive teaching and assessment experience at postgraduate level. Chartered status with the British Psychological Society and HCPC registration would be beneficial. Publications in peer reviewed journals are desirable, as is Fellowship with the Higher Education Academy.
The post holder will be required to understand the nature of work in a multicultural environment and must possess knowledge of the frameworks governing the counselling psychology profession and higher education at postgraduate level.
